Susie Frazier

Susie Frazier is a multimedia portrait painter based in Seattle, working from her studio at the Inscape Building. Her work is defined by high color, bold contrast, and an unflinching directness — faces rendered not as likenesses but as presences.

Each painting builds outward through layered color and texture, arriving at portraits that feel immediate, alive, and charged with the particular energy of the person depicted. Her 2025 series spans public figures, family, and self — exploring how identity, power, and intimacy read differently when held in the same scale and the same materials.

Frazier trained at Gage Academy of Art in Seattle and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington and a BA in History from Stanford University. Commissions and exhibition inquiries are welcome.
